Pan-Facial Fracture Repair Newport Beach

Pan-facial fracture involves fractures of multiple bones in the face. Different fracture patterns can be seen, including Lefort I, II, and III fractures. The evaluation includes a 3D CT scan with thin cuts in the coronal, axial, and sagittal views for accurate diagnosis and surgical planning.

Surgical repair and reconstruction of pan-facial fractures follow the same principles and techniques as the various types of isolated facial fractures. Using a house building analogy, pan-facial fractures are often repaired from the bottom up, constructing a solid foundation and repairing the lower jaw or mandible first, before moving on to repair and reconstruct the mid and upper face bones.
