Asclera – Spider Vein Treatment

Asclera® (polidocanol) is a sclerosing agent to treat uncomplicated spider veins. It is injected into the vein and works by damaging the inside of blood vessels, causing platelets and cellular debris to attach to the lining of the vessels to form a clot. Over time, the clotted vein will be replaced with tissue.

On average, 87% of patients were satisfied or very satisfied with their Asclera® treatment. A typical sclerotherapy session lasts 15 to 45 minutes. Following treatment compression stockings or support hose should be worn continuously for 2-3 days and for 1-3 weeks during the daytime. Repeat sessions, one month apart are usually necessary for optimal results.
