Male Breast Reduction/Gynecomastia Newport Beach
Boys and men sometimes develop enlarged breasts or gynecomastia after gaining weight, from hormone imbalance, or from medications. Even after losing weight, the breasts may remain enlarged. After ruling out and treating the known medical causes of gynecomastia, surgery can be performed to reduce the size of the enlarged male breast.
For the smaller sized male breast with minimal ptosis or drooping, liposuction alone can be performed to decrease the size of the breast. For the larger sized male breast with more severe ptosis or drooping, surgical removal of breast tissue and skin may be necessary, in addition to liposuction, to reduce the breast size adequately and correctly reposition the nipple areola complex.
